Scope of position
Procurement Manager (CN Hardware) to lead the sourcing and development of hardware products from China for our multi-country retail markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
This role will focus on product sourcing, category growth, supplier management, commercial negotiation, and SKU performance. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, data-oriented, and able to identify the right products and suppliers to build a competitive hardware assortment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead end-to-end sourcing of hardware products from China for multiple retail markets.
· Analyze sales, margin, market, and competitor data to identify product gaps and new opportunities.
· Select and develop products based on market data, customer needs, and commercial potential.
· Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, and other commercial conditions.
· Benchmark competitor pricing and products to maintain competitive pricing and product relevance.
· Identify new product trends and build a strong pipeline of potential products.
· Monitor SKU performance and recommend listing, improvement, or delisting based on business performance.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in China to ensure competitive cost, quality, and reliable supply.
· Work closely with internal teams to support product launches and ensure smooth execution across markets.
· Monitor supplier and product performance and take necessary actions to improve cost, quality, and availability.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, buying, or category management, preferably in hardware, home improvement, retail, or FMCG.
Strong experience in China sourcing and supplier management is highly preferred.
Good understanding of product costing, pricing, MOQ, and commercial negotiations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use sales, margin, and market data to support decisions.
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially driven with a strong sense of product and market trends.
