Procurement Manager (Electrical Background)

  • Lead and manage procurement activities for electrical engineering and project-related requirements
  • Work closely with electrical contractors to understand project requirements, technical specifications, and delivery expectations
  • Source materials, equipment, subcontractors, and services in line with project needs
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations, conduct negotiations, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement solutions
  • Manage end-to-end procurement cycle including RFQ, quotation comparison, purchase order issuance, and delivery tracking
  • Plan and execute procurement planning, delivery coordination, and logistics arrangements to support project timelines
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and electrical contractors
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with project requirements, technical specifications, and company policies
  • Coordinate closely with project, engineering, and site teams to ensure smooth material availability for project execution
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost
  • Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings
  • Maintain procurement records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with audit requirements


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the power, electrical, construction, infrastructure, or engineering industry
  • Project-based procurement experience, particularly in electrical or M&E works, is highly preferred
  • Strong background in electrical industry or electrical contracting environment
  • Good understanding of electrical contractor requirements, project specifications, and material usage
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles within construction, M&E, or electrical projects
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings or electrical specifications is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal project and site teams
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced project environment
