About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee procurement and vendor management activities within our financial services organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier performance and cost optimisation while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and financial objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract management.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers across technology, professional services, office operations and other business requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, service levels and payment terms with vendors.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Work closely with Finance, IT, Operations, Compliance and other internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements.
- Support third-party/vendor risk assessments and ensure appropriate documentation and due diligence are completed.
- Monitor contracts, renewals, expenditure and procurement budgets.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and management reports.
- Monitor market trends, supplier developments and industry pricing.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, internal controls and applicable financial-services regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential supplier, operational and business continuity risks.
- Prepare procurement reports, analysis and recommendations for senior management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of relevant procurement, sourcing, purchasing or vendor management experience.
- Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, wealth management or other regulated industrieswill be an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, contract management and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of vendor risk management and procurement controls.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
