Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of long-term contracts, we are looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic role in driving procurement excellence across the business. The successful candidate will lead procurement activities within their operational area, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective procurement solutions, supply chain performance, and sustainable value for our contracts and customers.
Working closely with operational, commercial, and work-winning teams, the Procurement Manager will provide specialist procurement expertise to support both current operations and future growth. The role will focus on developing high-performing supplier relationships, identifying value creation opportunities, and ensuring procurement strategies contribute to the delivery of business objectives.
As a key member of the Procurement function, you will be responsible for driving commercial value, supporting tender activities, enhancing supplier performance, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
Lead and manage procurement activities across your operational area, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery requirements
Provide effective leadership and direction to procurement team members, creating a collaborative and high-performing environment
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to maximise value, innovation, and performance across the supply chain
Lead supplier engagement meetings and performance reviews, implementing improvement plans where required
Ensure suppliers meet agreed service levels and support continuous improvement initiatives
Support bid and tender activities by providing accurate procurement data, market intelligence, and competitive supplier pricing
Work closely with operational teams to identify the most suitable suppliers and subcontractors for contract delivery
Develop and implement procurement strategies that support contract performance and commercial objectives
Support the delivery of the Group's Customer of Choice strategy through effective supplier segmentation and relationship management
Drive margin improvement initiatives, rebate opportunities, and cost-saving programmes across contracts
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements
Produce procurement reports, savings data, and performance metrics to support business and contract reporting
Promote a strong health, safety, and compliance culture throughout procurement activities and supplier engagements
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement role
Strong knowledge of procurement strategy, category management, and supply chain management principles
Experience managing supplier relationships, contract performance, and service level agreements
Demonstrable success in delivering cost savings, margin improvement initiatives, and commercial value
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across operational, commercial, and leadership teams
Experience supporting tender and bid activities through procurement expertise and market engagement
Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with experience using procurement data to drive decision making
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Desirable:
Professional procurement qualification such as CIPS (Level 4 or above)
Experience within engineering, infrastructure, utilities, facilities management, or construction sectors
Experience managing national or regional supplier frameworks
Knowledge of rebate management, supply chain segmentation, and supplier performance systems
Experience supporting large-scale operational contracts and multi-site delivery environments
Understanding of procurement governance, compliance, and audit requirements
