Job Description

We are a well-established and leading company in the frozen food processing and export industry, with over 45 years of history and a strong reputation for quality in both local and international markets . Our operations are based in a modern factory in Alexandria, and we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Procurement Manager with a specialization in vegetables to join our team.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring the highest quality raw vegetable materials to support our production. You will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining the strict quality standards that define our brand. This position is key to the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies for all types of vegetables, including artichokes, okra, fava beans, molokhia, green beans, spinach, and others . Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers of agricultural raw materials.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with farmers and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure the best value for the company. Manage and evaluate supplier performance.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all procured raw materials meet strict standards of freshness and cleanliness . Proactively address any quality or supply issues.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, agricultural conditions, and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions. Forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to meet production schedules. Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a procurement or sourcing role, with a strong focus on the agricultural sector. Experience specifically in the vegetable procurement is essential.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of Egyptian vegetable varieties, growing seasons, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
