Procurement Officer
Key Responsibilities • Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain a database of reliable local and international suppliers for construction materials and services. • Procurement Process: Issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate bids, and prepare comparison sheets to ensure cost-efficiency. • Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet project budgets. • Logistics & Coordination: Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, adhering to project schedules. • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all purchases meet ISO standards and Ashghal regulations. Process LPOs and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and deliveries. • Cost Control: Monitor purchasing budgets, analyze market trends, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Experience: 7–10 years in construction procurement, with specific experience in civil, knowledge in MEP, mainly in construction projects. • Local Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction market in Qatar, including supplier networks and import regulations. • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials and technical specifications. • Communication: High proficiency in written and spoken English. • Education: College or university degree, with relevant certifications in purchasing or supply chain management being a plus. • Tools: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
