Procurement Officer – Vendor Management

About the Role

Micdee is seeking a Procurement Officer – Vendor Management to source, onboard, evaluate, and manage suppliers, contractors, artisans, and service providers. The role will support the delivery of architectural, interior, construction, and workspace fit-out projects by ensuring quality, competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and vendor compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and maintain a reliable network of suppliers, contractors, artisans, manufacturers, and service providers.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, prequalification, due diligence, and Approved Vendor List (AVL).
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, capacity, responsiveness, and compliance.
  • Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, delivery timelines, warranties, and discounts.
  • Coordinate vendors with Project Management, Design, QS, Site, Finance, QA/QC, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure vendors meet approved specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Monitor vendor deliveries, resolve quality issues, delays, pricing discrepancies, and other disputes.
  • Maintain accurate vendor databases, quotations, agreements, pricing records, performance reports, and compliance documents.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, services, and pricing opportunities.
  • Build strong professional vendor relationships while ensuring procurement policies, ethics, and confidentiality are maintained.
  • Prepare regular reports on vendor performance, pricing, compliance, risks, and supplier availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in procurement, vendor management, supplier relationship management, or supply chain.
  • Experience in construction, architecture, interior design, workspace fit-out, engineering, or real estate is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in vendor sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS, CIPSMN, CILT, or a related qualification is an advantage.
