Procurement & Production Planning Manager | Hyderabad
Job Title: Manager – Procurement & Production Planning
Role Overview:
Manage end-to-end procurement, production planning, and manufacturing operations in a high-volume setup (~1.8L orders/month) with a hybrid model (in-house + third-party). Focus on cost optimization, inventory control, wastage, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Plan procurement of RM & FG based on ~6K daily orders
- Maintain optimal inventory; avoid stockouts & overstocking
- Drive production planning, capacity utilization, and scheduling
- Manage job orders, WIP, and output tracking
- Coordinate with factory teams and balance in-house vs third-party production
- Handle vendor onboarding, negotiation, and performance tracking
- Manage BOM updates, formulation changes, and cost impact
- Control wastage & expiry (FIFO/FEFO, batch tracking)
- Oversee PO lifecycle and procurement operations
- Drive cost savings and process efficiency
- Ensure compliance, documentation, and audit readiness
- Track KPIs and provide actionable insight
Requirements
- Experience in procurement / production planning / supply chain
- Exposure to high-volume manufacturing environments
- Strong skills in inventory, vendor management, and cost control
