Project Coordinator & TILE SETTER

Job Responsibilities – Project Coordinator & Tile Setter

  • Coordinate and monitor daily site activities to ensure works are completed according to schedule.

  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and site supervisors.

  • Review drawings, specifications, work schedules and site requirements before commencing work.

  • Arrange manpower, materials, tools and equipment required for each project.

  • Conduct site measurements and calculate the required quantities of tiles and materials.

  • Coordinate material delivery, storage and distribution at the worksite.

  • Carry out setting-out and prepare tile layouts according to approved drawings and design requirements.

  • Prepare wall and floor surfaces, including cleaning, levelling and applying waterproofing where required.

  • Cut, lay and install ceramic, porcelain, marble and other types of tiles.

  • Apply adhesive, grout and sealant, and complete tile finishes neatly and accurately.

  • Check alignment, levels, gradients, joints, patterns and overall workmanship.

  • Identify and rectify hollow, cracked, uneven or damaged tiles and other installation defects.

  • Ensure completed works comply with approved drawings, quality standards and client requirements.

  • Monitor work progress, prepare site updates and report any delays or technical issues.

  • Attend site meetings, inspections and handover activities when required.

  • Coordinate rectification works and follow up on outstanding defects.

  • Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure materials and tools are safely stored.

  • Follow all workplace safety requirements and comply with company and site regulations.

  • Perform other project coordination and tile installation duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
