About the Role
Deloitte Operations are seeking an experienced are seeking a Procurement SME to be based in Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities for Procurement SME
- Lead Sourcing and Procurement Initiatives: Drive sourcing, procurement, and vendor management activities within a regulated financial services environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage Technology and Professional Services Sourcing: Oversee sourcing projects related to technology, operations, and professional services, aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Third Party Risk and Supplier Governance: Implement and maintain robust third party risk management frameworks, supplier governance processes, and lead contract negotiations to mitigate risks and optimize supplier relationships.
- M&A Integration Support: Provide procurement expertise during mergers and acquisitions, facilitating smooth integration of suppliers and contracts to support business continuity
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across business units and transformation programs to ensure alignment and successful delivery of procurement outcomes
- Commercial and Analytical Excellence: Utilize strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to evaluate sourcing options, drive cost efficiencies, and support data-driven decision making
- Communication and Execution Focus: Maintain clear and proactive communication with all relevant parties, ensuring timely execution and delivery of procurement objectives within large-scale transformation or integration programs.
Skills & Experience
- Strong sourcing, procurement or vendor management experience within a regulated financial services environment.
- Experience leading technology, operations or professional services sourcing initiatives.
- Knowledge of third party risk management, supplier governance and contract negotiation.
- Ideally experience of M&A integration
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver outcomes within large transformation or integration programmes.
- Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills with a focus on execution and delivery.
