Procurement Specialist
Overview:
Garud is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support FEMA in a wide range of acquisition activities, from planning and solicitation development to contract administration and strategy support. This role is key to helping FEMA complete complex procurements in compliance with federal requirements.

What You Will Do
- Develop acquisition plans, source selection plans, RFPs, and related documentation.
- Research and recommend acquisition strategies and procurement approaches.
- Support price and proposal cost analysis and technical evaluation coordination.
- Lead contract administration support activities and procurement documentation.
- Prepare justification, approval, and planning materials for major procurements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 6–8 years of procurement, acquisition, or contract management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of FAR and agency-specific acquisition regulations.
- Experience with major, complex, or first-time procurements.
- Strong writing, analysis, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Conduct independent research with minimal oversight
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of full and open competition, fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, GWACs, and BPAs.
- Ability to develop evaluation criteria, RFP structures, and contract clauses.
- Experience supporting procurement approvals and defends recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ability to perform outreach, liaison responsibilities, and procurement training support.
