Procurement specialist

We are looking for the Procurement Specialist to support our Production, R&D, MRO and field teams being based in Riga, Latvia. This role requires a high level of independence, decision-making capability and technical understanding to ensure efficient procurement processes and support business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely procurement and ordering of materials according to production and operational requirements.
  • Organize procurement processes for equipment, tools, chemicals and technical materials required for production, R&D, MRO and field teams.
  • Collaborate with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and procurement contract conditions with suppliers.
  • Conduct market research, supplier evaluation and price monitoring.
  • Compare prices, lead times, technical specifications and product suitability to support procurement decisions.
  • Maintain procurement, material and documentation data in the ERP system.
  • Confirm and monitor delivery schedules for ordered goods.
  • Work closely with engineering, warehouse, logistics, MRO and field teams to resolve procurement-related challenges.
  • Take ownership of procurement decisions and ensure high-quality execution of tasks.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and make procurement decisions autonomously.
  • Technical knowledge or education in electronics, mechanics, manufacturing or a related technical field will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience working in a large electronics or mechanical manufacturing company is considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, pricing comparison, lead time analysis and product assessment.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Monitor G5 experience is considered an advantage).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and international suppliers.
  • Problem-solving mindset, flexibility and accountability for work results.
  • Quality-oriented attitude, precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent English and Latvian communication skills.
