Job Summary
Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure seamless operations, cost efficiency, and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure smooth operational flow and timely delivery
- Drive cost savings by negotiating competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and shortened lead times with suppliers
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for machine components, materials, and procurement products locally and overseas
- Assess supplier capabilities and reliability to ensure quality and delivery standards are met
- Support Engineering Change (EC) processes by ensuring data accuracy and collaborating with suppliers to implement changes effectively
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands without excess stock
- Communicate proactively and clearly with cross-departmental stakeholders to align procurement activities
- Analyze complex data and evaluate variation factors to resolve procurement and supply issues
- Select and apply appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to optimize procurement outcomes
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and provide regular data analysis and progress updates to the Purchasing Manager
- Prepare weekly purchasing reports detailing procurement activities to improve operational efficiency and support departmental KPIs
- Provide management with reviews and recommendations to enhance purchasing processes and procedures
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum Diploma or degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3 - 5 year purchasing experience in contract manufacturing industry, with emphasis on environment of cable, harness, and/or electromechanical assemblies which include mechanical, electronic components.
