About the Role

Our client is looking for a Procurement Specialist with hands-on experience in the electronic components industry to manage supplier sourcing, procurement, and supply chain activities in Singapore.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing supplier networks, negotiating competitive pricing, optimizing procurement channels, and ensuring a reliable supply of electronic components. You will work closely with the China headquarters and independently manage local procurement operations as part of a newly established Singapore office.

What You'll Do

• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with electronic component suppliers, including manufacturers, authorized distributors, agents, and other sourcing channels.

• Build and maintain a supplier database to expand sourcing opportunities and strengthen procurement resources.

• Source electronic components and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, product availability, quality, lead times, and supply reliability.

• Negotiate competitive prices and commercial terms to optimize procurement costs and profitability.

• Collaborate with internal sales teams to understand customer requirements, assess material demand, and develop procurement plans.

• Monitor inventory levels, supplier lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure timely material availability.

• Follow up on purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery delays, shortages, and other supply-related issues.

• Maintain supplier relationships while identifying potential supply chain risks and alternative sourcing opportunities.

• Coordinate procurement activities and business requirements with the China headquarters.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of hands-on procurement experience in the electronic components or semiconductor industry.

• Direct procurement experience involving at least one of the following semiconductor brands is mandatory:

  • Texas Instruments (TI)

  • Analog Devices (ADI)

  • STMicroelectronics (ST)

• Good understanding of the electronic components market, supplier networks, and distribution channels.

• Experience working with electronic component manufacturers, authorized distributors, agents, or relevant sourcing partners.

• Strong commercial negotiation skills, with an understanding of pricing, cost control, and procurement optimization.

• Ability to assess material requirements, coordinate procurement planning, and anticipate supply chain risks.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Able to communicate independently in Chinese for daily business coordination with the China headquarters and suppliers.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Currently based in Singapore with valid authorization to work full-time without employer-sponsored visa or work pass.

• Willing and able to work full-time on-site at the Singapore office (Central Singapore).

• Competitive basic salary of SGD 4,000 per month, plus performance-based commission.

• Additional commission of 2%–4% of profit for in-stock orders and 5% of profit for back-to-back orders.
