Procurement Specialist IV

• Performs more advanced to complex tasks within a particular field.
• Under very general direction, purchases supplies and services from vendors at the lowest cost, according to the company standards and specifications.
• Prepares requests for proposals, analyzes quotes received, selects vendors, schedules and expedites deliveries and follows up on invoices received.
• This level is viewed as advanced within the scope of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are highly desirable, such as:
    • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
    • MCIPS
    • PMP (advantageous)
    • Supply Chain or Contract Management certifications
  • Typically 12+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing procurement activities on large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
