Summary/Objective

The Procurement & Warehouse Assistant supports day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, and inventory monitoring. The role ensures accurate documentation, proper handling of materials, and compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing materials.
  • Verify deliveries against Purchase Orders and supporting documents.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Assist in material pickup and delivery as required.
  • Operate warehouse tools and equipment safely.
  • Record and update transactions in the Warehouse Inventory System (WIS).
  • Assist in preparing and issuing materials with proper documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the warehouse.

Additional tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist in inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Handle returned items and ensure proper restocking.
  • Coordinate with other department such as Procurement, Accounting, Fleet & Trucking, and Project Teams as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Competencies and Basic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying of materials.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and perform manual tasks.


Travel

Occasional local travel may be required for material pickup or delivery.
