Product Analyst – Provisioning

Owns the product roadmap for provisioning and integrations, defining business requirements, evaluating API integrations, and guiding scalable solutions for energy co-ops and telecoms.

Summary:
The Product Analyst – Provisioning serves as the business and technical subject matter expert for NISC's Provisioning and Integrations solutions, driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and business analysis for provisioning capabilities and third-party integrations. This role partners closely with development teams, internal stakeholders, and external technology partners to define business requirements, evaluate integration opportunities, and support the design of scalable provisioning solutions. The Product Analyst ensures product enhancements align with Member needs, technical architecture, and business objectives while advancing NISC's Cloud Provisioning Framework and integration capabilities.
Essential Duties:
- Own and maintain the Provisioning and Integrations product roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize business needs, drive product strategy, and support delivery of scalable solutions.
- Partner with internal development teams and third-party technical resources to evaluate, document, and support new system integrations, including reviewing technical specifications and defining implementation and support expectations.
- Contribute to the design, standardization, and continuous improvement of the Cloud Provisioning Framework, including provisioning business rules and API integration capabilities, while translating technical concepts into clear business requirements.
- Research and document users integrated/enterprise business processes, needs, and challenges, including in the context of the overall business and industry requirements for assigned solutions; create detailed and thorough use cases, scenarios, and user stories for complex, integrated software solutions.
- Partner with and provide guidance where applicable to NISC teams in the research and interpretation of complex-level technical design specifications.
- Proactively seek out, work with, and advise on best ways to determine how to implement requested business needs while limiting scope.
- Serve as key point of contact for leadership on identifying, defining functional, processing, reporting, data use cases.
- Analyze and capture complex level business needs while translating and championing them from use case approaches.
- Research and document business-related parameters or constraints that may be integral to the software solution, including legal, regulatory, or industry standards, that may impact or dictate certain business needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:
- 5+ years of related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON data structures, API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger), and system integration concepts, including the ability to understand data schemas.
- Strong understanding of product roadmap development and experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation, including creating a product business plan and feature rollout plan
- Working knowledge of broadband provisioning concepts and technologies, including Fiber networks, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to business and development teams.
- Working level knowledge of business-related software applications and services.
- Working level knowledge of product portfolio’s functionalities, integrations, and technical architecture.
- Working level knowledge of other integrated industry applications and services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Project Management processes and theory.
- (Optional) Working knowledge of the Utility or Telecom industries.
- Working level knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycles.
- Strong ability to effectively lead, influence, teach and mentor others.
- Ability to identify key performance indicators and define sound business process of product development.
- Ability to travel as often as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the position.
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
