TechnologyOne's Financials product is one of our largest and most widely adopted products, and we're looking for a Product Architect to help shape its future.
This is a senior technical role where you'll influence product direction, drive architectural decisions and help solve complex challenges through modern SaaS technology.
Working closely with Product Owners, Developers and UX teams, you'll turn customer needs into practical solutions, guide technical direction and explore new ways of building software through AI-assisted development.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, challenging existing thinking and having a genuine influence on the evolution of a major enterprise product, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
What you'll be doing:
- Set the technical direction and architecture for the Financials product, balancing long-term product strategy with practical engineering outcomes.
- Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand customer challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead architectural thinking across major product initiatives, making decisions around scalability, performance, security and maintainability.
- Work alongside engineering and UX teams to design and deliver modern, intuitive and high-quality product capabilities.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development, using tools such as Claude to improve how we design, develop and deliver software.
- Challenge existing approaches and identify opportunities to simplify systems, improve performance and introduce new capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, helping resolve complex architectural and engineering challenges.
- Influence the product roadmap by bringing new ideas, technical insights and a strong understanding of emerging technologies.
- Ensure the Financials product continues to meet the needs of customers across complex financial management processes and changing regulatory environments.
- Contribute to architectural standards, technical decision-making and knowledge sharing across the wider R&D team.
Your Talents…
- Significant experience in software architecture or senior software engineering, ideally within enterprise SaaS or large-scale software products.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud technologies, distributed systems and application design.
- Experience designing and evolving complex software products, with the ability to balance technical quality, customer needs and commercial priorities.
- A strong product mindset. You understand that good architecture isn't just about technology; it's about solving real problems for customers.
- Experience with financial management systems or enterprise financial software would be highly regarded, particularly across areas such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting or Procurement.
- An interest in AI-assisted software development and experience using tools such as Claude, Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
- The ability to take complex problems, challenge assumptions and turn them into clear, practical solutions.
- Confidence working with Product, Engineering and UX teams, influencing decisions and bringing people along with you.
- A natural mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing technical capability and helping others tackle challenging problems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
