Product Architect - AI/ML

This is a high-impact role where you'll help shape the future of TechnologyOne's product architecture and contribute to the delivery of our CTO strategy. You'll work across R&D and the broader TechnologyOne organisation to define target-state architectures, shape technical direction and guide the transition towards scalable, modern product capabilities.

A key focus of the role is driving AI scale and adoption. You'll work closely with teams to understand customer needs, usage insights and feedback, translating these into scalable AI capabilities, product enhancements and enabling tools that make it easier for customers to discover, configure, adopt and operate AI through a fully self-service experience.

We're looking for an architect who can operate comfortably at both strategic and technical levels - someone who can define the bigger picture, influence technical direction and still get hands-on when needed. What you'll be doing…

• Develop and maintain the strategic direction of TechnologyOne's product architecture, ensuring alignment with the CTO strategy and broader product objectives.
  

• Drive AI scale and adoption by translating customer needs, usage insights and feedback into product architecture priorities, enhancements and enabling tools.
  

• Design and build reusable AI capabilities and frictionless product experiences that enable customers to discover, configure, adopt and operate AI through a fully self-service model.
  

• Define high-level target-state product architectures and develop clear, actionable transition plans to move products and platforms towards those future states.
  

• Lead key product architecture transformation initiatives, guiding teams through architectural change and ensuring strategic customer and business outcomes are achieved.
  

• Collaborate across R&D and TechnologyOne to translate strategic objectives into practical technical solutions and delivery plans.
  

• Facilitate key architectural decisions and provide clear direction on strategic product and technology initiatives.
  

• Provide technical leadership through hands-on development, proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives where required.
  

• Coach and mentor engineers, architects and technical teams, helping to strengthen product architecture capability and engineering practices.
  

• Contribute to the evolution of TechnologyOne's product and technology strategy, bringing insights on emerging technologies, customer needs and industry developments.
  

• Develop training and enablement materials to build product architecture and technical capability across R&D.
  

• Champion continuous improvement across architecture practices, systems, processes and ways of working.
  

Your Talents…

• Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise software product development environment, with experience across product architecture, solution architecture, reference architectures, platform architecture and/or ICT architecture.
  

• Proven ability to define product architectures that support coherent customer experiences, reusable capabilities, scalability, maintainability and long-term product evolution.
  

• Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them into scalable AI product enhancements, reusable tools and intuitive self-service experiences that accelerate adoption.
  

• Strong experience architecting complex services using hyperscaler cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud, including hybrid services.
  

• Demonstrated hands-on development experience with C#, Python and React in enterprise-grade software products.
  

• Practical familiarity with AI technologies, with proven experience integrating and applying AI capabilities within customer-facing or enterprise software products.
  

• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, including security, privacy, reliability and scalability, and the ability to incorporate these into product architecture.
  

• Strong conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into practical implementation.
  

• Commercial acumen, with the ability to set goals and plans that align with broader strategic direction.
  

• Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and guide technical teams through architectural change.
  

• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation, consultation and negotiation, with the ability to communicate technical issues and options clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
  

• A pragmatic and customer-focused approach, balancing architectural excellence with delivery realities and measurable product outcomes.
  

• A passion for continuous learning and an interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI and modern approaches to product development.
