Product Assurance and Quality Engineer – EEE Components (m/f/x)
Summary
Ensures space-grade electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components meet strict standards and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle, collaborating with engineering and procurement teams.
Your responsibilities include:
- Define, implement, and continuously improve EEE Product Assurance processes and activities for both space projects and day-to-day operations.
- Ensure compliance with ECSS standards, customer-specific Product Assurance requirements, and internal quality processes.
- Participate in project, design, and milestone reviews, providing Product Assurance expertise and recommendations.
- Review, assess, and approve EEE component selections through approved component lists and associated documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and configuration control of EEE components throughout the product lifecycle.
- Evaluate component suitability for space applications, considering factors such as reliability, derating, radiation tolerance, obsolescence, ESD susceptibility, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
- Ensure the consistent application of EEE processes across the entire value chain, from procurement and manufacturing to integration, testing, and delivery.
- Lead or support investigations of EEE-related non-conformances and failures, including root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards (NCRBs) and contribute to risk mitigation activities.
- Support supplier qualification, assessment, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with quality and Product Assurance requirements.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance, or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on experience with EEE components and their application in high-reliability environments.
- Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented working style.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- ECSS and/or NASA standards
- ESA projects
- Space electronics and high-reliability systems
- Radiation effects on electronic components
- Component derating analysis
- Failure analysis and root cause investigations
