Product & Brand Designer

Salary: RM 3,333 – RM 5,000 per month

Allo8 is a platform that bridges the physical world with digital intelligence.

We bring together IoT devices, data, intelligence models and workflow automation into one unified platform. We're the frontier team within a startup backed by a group with years of industry experience, already helping customers across construction, civil engineering, energy and healthcare connect everything from cameras and sensors to smart lifts.

We're taking the platform further by enabling deeper integration with external AI agents while developing more intelligence natively within Allo8. Our vision is to make physical operations more intelligent, autonomous and responsive.

We're looking for a Designer who can bring consistency, clarity and great design sensibility to everything we build. Someone with excellent visual taste, strong UX instincts and a love for using AI to design and build.

What you'll do

• Build our design system. Create reusable components, patterns and design guidelines that work across our platform.

• Make design AI-native. Build and maintain design systems that work with Claude and AI-assisted development workflows.

• Own platform design quality. Ensure everything we build looks, feels and works like it belongs together.

• Shape our brand. Oversee design across our website, marketing materials, campaigns and presentations.

• Simplify complexity. Make AI, IoT, data and workflow automation intuitive and enjoyable to use.

• Prototype and build. Use AI tools to rapidly turn design ideas into working interfaces.

• Work with product and engineering. Make sure good design survives the journey from concept to production.

What we're looking for

• Excellent visual taste. Bad typography, inconsistent spacing and ugly interfaces should physically hurt you.

• Strong UI/UX foundations. You understand hierarchy, interaction design, usability and how people actually use software.

• Design systems thinking. Think reusable components, tokens and patterns. Not 47 slightly different buttons.

• Loves AI-assisted design and building. Figma, Claude Code, Cursor or whatever gets great designs into working products.

• Good logical thinking. You can organise complex interfaces and workflows into simple, consistent experiences.

• Versatile design sensibility. Comfortable moving between product interfaces, branding and marketing.

• Technically curious. Frontend components, responsive design and how interfaces are implemented should interest you.

• Detail obsessed and comfortable taking extreme ownership. You notice the little things and actually do something about them.

Who should join?

Fresh graduates and early-career applicants are super welcome. We care more about your design sensibility, how you think and what you've built than years of experience.

Conversely, we also welcome mid-career rebels from design, branding or creative backgrounds who want to break into AI-native product development and aren't afraid to rethink how design gets done.

FYI, as part of this application, we will at some point give you a small product or design problem and ask you to design and vibe code a simple working interface using AI tools of your choice. We want to see your design judgement, systems thinking and ability to turn ideas into something real. Not just pretty mockups.

Pay

We have budgeted between SGD$3,000-5,000 monthly basic salary in cash and the remaining in stock options for this role depending on your level of skill and general worldly experience. There will be a probation period of 6 months.

We are also accepting applicants for Interns who think they have potential and want to grow into this role. Preferably looking at a minimum of 4 months and up to 12 months. Part time internships can be considered for exceptional candidates. Internship roles pay $1-1.5k monthly allowance.
