The Job

Actively participate in the end-of-day P&L production process, including data extraction, validation, and preliminary variance analysis for specific financial instruments.
Execute daily checks and investigations of financial data across different systems, specifically focusing on identifying and resolving discrepancies related to trade booking, market data, corporate actions, and conducting off-market checks.
Contribute to the documentation and update of desktop procedures for core product control tasks, ensuring alignment with internal control standards and audit requirements.
Liaise with Front Office traders and Middle Office support to resolve P&L queries and trade booking discrepancies on a timely basis, documenting resolutions for audit trails.
Assist in the preparation of month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet substantiation, and preliminary commentary on P&L drivers for review by senior controllers.

The Talent

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of financial products such as bonds, equities, FX or derivatives.
Strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of P&L and balance sheet concepts.
Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
Meticulous and analytical, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and work with multiple stakeholders.
