Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is hiring Product Definition Engineers! Join our team developing advanced aerospace components, including engine controls, gas turbine hardware, and structural systems. We're looking for a Product Definition Engineer with experience in Siemens NX, CATIA, or 3DEXPERIENCE to create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and Model-Based Definitions (MBD) that support manufacturing and product development.
Location: 100% onsite in Marietta, GA. U.S.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
In this role, you'll partner with Mechanical Design Engineers to develop digital product definitions, perform tolerance analyses, and ensure designs meet engineering, manufacturing, and ASME standards.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Siemens NX or CATIA.
- Develop Model-Based Definitions (MBD) and Digital Product Definitions (DPD) for aerospace components.
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) using Teamcenter.
- Perform GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses to support manufacturable designs.
- Review engineering drawings for compliance with ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.41 standards.
- Support engineering changes, configuration management, and technical documentation.
- Validate supplier CAD models and resolve drawing, modeling, and assembly issues.
- Perform interference and clash analysis for assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams throughout product development.
- Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in Product Definition, CAD Design, Mechanical Design, or Engineering Drafting.
- Proficiency with Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Experience creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Product Definition (DPD).
- Experience using Teamcenter or similar product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Experience supporting engineering changes and configuration management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related STEM field.
- Experience with NC programming.
- Experience supporting aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience using 3D scanning, point cloud processing, or reverse engineering tools.
- Experience using automation or digital engineering tools to improve engineering workflows.

- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
