Product Design Assistant Engineer

Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Product Design Assistant Engineer:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers in planning, coordinating, and implementing product development activities and engineering action plans.
  • Support the preparation and revision of engineering drawings, design documentation, and technical standards.
  • Conduct cell analysis, product evaluations, and interpret engineering test results to support product development and improvement.
  • Prepare product samples, coordinate line trials and test runs, and manage sample shipment activities.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for battery cell products, including product validation and implementation.
  • Assist with line expansion projects for existing product models to support production capacity and operational requirements.
  • Support engineering change activities, including material changes for cost optimization, product improvement, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and standardization activities to improve product quality, manufacturing yield, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Sales, to support customer requirements and product-related enquiries.
  • Assist in quality investigations, product performance evaluations, and root cause analysis for technical issues.
  • Perform assigned engineering projects and other duties as required by the reporting manager.
  • Comply with workplace safety, health, environmental, and company policies, and actively support hazard identification and risk reduction initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Training is provided. 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project coordination skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to adapt and perform in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, JMP, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), or statistical analysis tools will be an advantage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Willing and able to work in clean room and dry room environments when required.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: Up to SGD 3,700 +AWS +VB (1-2 Months)
  • Working Location: Tuas Link
  • Working Hours: 5 Days Work, Mon-Fri : 8:15am-5:30pm
