👀 The Role
Title: Product Design Director
Team: Design
Location: Remote, UK
Most founders talk about being product-led. Ours built the company around it.
Working directly with Midnite Co-Founder Nick Wright, you'll help lead the next chapter of product design at a company that’s never been interested in doing things the way they've always been done. Design and user experience have been at the heart of Midnite since day one. Not an afterthought. Not something bolted on later.
As our Product Design Director, you'll take ownership of the creative direction and quality of our product experiences, bringing fresh thinking, exceptional design craft and a clear vision for what great looks like. You'll shape how Midnite looks, feels and works across every surface, working closely with Product and Engineering to turn ambitious ideas into outstanding experiences. This is an opportunity to have real creative influence, challenge the expected and raise the bar for design as we scale.
You will:
Own the creative vision and design direction for Midnite's product experiences, ensuring we deliver distinctive, beautifully crafted products.
Set an exceptional standard for visual and interaction design, bringing creativity, consistency and attention to detail across everything we build.
Shape the end-to-end customer experience across native apps, web and internal platforms, ensuring Midnite feels like one cohesive product.
Take a hands-on approach to our most exciting and complex design challenges, providing creative direction and pushing ideas beyond the expected.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape product direction, challenge thinking and turn customer needs into exceptional experiences.
Lead and inspire our Product Design team, providing creative guidance, feedback and support to continually elevate the quality of their work.
Drive the evolution of our design systems, balancing creative ambition with consistency and speed as we scale.
Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Growth, CRM and Games to bring a joined-up creative vision to every customer touchpoint.
Explore emerging technologies, including AI, to find new and better ways to design, experiment and build.
Champion design excellence across Midnite, bringing fresh ideas, challenging conventions and ensuring creativity remains central to our product decisions.
