Product Design Engineer (IO cage and core connector) - HSIO

The Product Design Engineer for core connector and IO cage will be focusing on designing and developing solutions of high speed IO connector, cage and mechanical parts for thermal solution with varies and specific customer application needs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work closely with customer, FAE, and sales team to identify the application scenario.
• Provide the best fit IO cage solution from our portfolio and customer application.
• Mechanical design and concepting in 3D model for:

Custom specific cage mechanism.
Heat sink/ Light pipe customization integrated with high speed IO cage.

• Work with thermal engineer to optimize the thermal performance of heat sink for high speed IO application.
• Drive and verify design in detail by engineering tools such as tolerance analysis, FEA, failure mode analysis….
• Create customer drawing, production drawings and product design objectives that can fully define our product function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop DFM(Design for manufacturing).
• Create product test plan for NPI test to verify if the product meets the functional requirements without issue before shipment.
