Product Designer – Design Systems (Remote | Mexico)

Location: Remote

Project Duration: October 5, 2026 – January 15, 2027

We are looking for a Product Designer – Design Systems to build a scalable Design System from the ground up. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Product Design and Engineering, creating reusable UI components, design tokens, governance standards, and implementation patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and define reusable UI components and design patterns.
• Create and maintain component architecture and design tokens.
• Define Design System governance, documentation, naming conventions, and adoption guidelines.
• Ensure alignment between Figma and Storybook implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reusable front-end components.
• Design for scalability, accessibility, consistency, and long-term reuse.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building or owning Design Systems or Component Libraries.
• Advanced experience with Figma (components, variants, Auto Layout, tokens, variables, and component properties).
• Hands-on experience with Storybook.
• Experience building reusable component libraries for engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating on front-end component implementation.
• Knowledge of Angular-based implementation patterns.
• Strong documentation and systems-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating a Design System from scratch (0-to-1).
• Design System governance and contribution models.
• Design token pipelines.
• Experience with Figma MCP / MCP tooling.
• Portfolio or case studies demonstrating Design System work.
• Experience using AI to accelerate component creation and documentation.
