Role Summary

NearSource is looking for a Product Designer II to design user experiences and interfaces for web-based software supporting data visualization capabilities within an AEC cloud platform. The role focuses on dashboards, reports, landing experiences, and predictive analytics while collaborating closely with product management, engineering, and senior design partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design user experiences and interfaces for web-based software products supporting data visualization capabilities.
  • Translate defined product requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
  • Design experiences for customizable dashboards, reports, landing experiences, and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and senior design partners to execute defined product design work.
  • Apply established design systems, component libraries, and product patterns across current and future software experiences.
  • Support usability reviews, design quality assurance, and developer handoff as required.
  • Articulate the rationale behind UX decisions and communicate design direction clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of UX, interaction design, and enterprise SaaS product design practices.
  • Identify and suggest appropriate improvements to existing product experiences and design practices.
  • Execute product design work under general direction with moderate latitude for independent judgment.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ Years of relevant Product/UX Design experience.
  • Strong experience designing user experiences for software products.
  • Strong Figma proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind UX decisions.
  • Strong product design sensibilities demonstrated through a professional portfolio.
  • Portfolio case studies demonstrating a clear design process, including sketches or wireframes, user needs, and design decisions.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience designing web-based software products.
  • Experience with data visualization capabilities, dashboards, or reports.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS product design.
  • Familiarity with established design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience supporting usability reviews, design QA, or developer handoff.
  • Experience designing software experiences within the AEC domain.
