Product Designer, Instagram

Instagram's mission is to inspire creativity that brings people together. We support those who create and shape culture around the world. It's a product where design taste shapes the product strategy — from the camera to the grid to Stories to Reels, the biggest bets have been design-led. This is a high-impact role focused on shaping the experiences that define how people share, discover, create, and connect on Instagram. You'll work as a key design leader on a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, data scientists, and researchers. A strong fit for this role has experience navigating undefined problem spaces by breaking down ambiguous challenges into actionable design strategies, moves fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and is comfortable shifting focus across different problem areas as priorities evolve. As a Product Designer on Instagram, you'll have the opportunity to play a central role in the way we build technologies — ensuring they are valuable, easy to use, and of a high level of craft and execution. You'll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. We'll expect you to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners.
