This is a part-time role (5 hours/week) for a 3-month contract.
The brand identity is in place; the goal is a polished app launched by Diwali (October 2026), the peak of the South Asian wedding season.
Own the end-to-end design of the app and web experience in Figma, working directly with the founder and a senior developer
Design a polished iOS and Android app built on the existing design system: a real app experience, not a wrapped website
Improve UX across the core rental flow, including browsing, offers, booking, and checkout
Design a sizing and measurement UI that helps lenders input region-specific measurements, and renters find their fit
Create a listing flow that guides lenders through photos, measurements, and pricing without friction
Ensure visual consistency across the platform that reflects the fashion brand

3+ years of product design experience
Experience with native mobile app design, including real iOS screens
Experience with marketplace or e-commerce design, covering buyer and seller flows, listings, and checkout (e.g., Stripe)
A portfolio showcasing transactional flows in commerce, rental, or resale products
Experience working closely with developers and designing with implementation in mind
Proficiency with Figma, including working within and extending an existing component library and design system
Ability to iterate fast and incorporate direct feedback from founders
Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
