Location: Singapore
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer
The Product Designer is accountable for the end-to-end design of the company's digital health products, from research and concept to polished, production-ready interfaces. This is a hands-on, hybrid role for a designer who prototypes in code, works fluently with AI tools, and designs AI-powered experiences as a core part of the product. The Designer will shape intuitive, trustworthy and engaging experiences while working onsite with product, engineering and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process: user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, visual design and usability testing.
- Design intuitive and engaging experiences for AI-driven products and features.
- Prototype in code (HTML/CSS, React or similar, or AI-assisted development tools) to validate ideas quickly and reduce design-to-development friction.
- Leverage AI tools hands-on across the design workflow, including generative design tools, AI features in Figma or similar, AI-assisted research synthesis and rapid concept exploration.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system: reusable components, tokens, interaction patterns and documentation shared with engineering.
- Translate clinical protocols, health programmes and domain expertise into clear, accessible and engaging digital experiences, in collaboration with clinical and operational teams.
- Design for engagement and habit formation grounded in behavioural science, supporting users' long-term health journeys.
- Conduct and synthesise user research continuously (interviews, usability tests, surveys, analytics) and turn insights into design decisions.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and perform well across platforms (iOS, Android, web).
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager on discovery, prioritisation and success metrics; contribute product thinking, not only visuals.
- Prepare high-quality design handoffs with clear specs, states and edge cases; support engineering through implementation and design QA.
- Ensure design decisions respect healthcare data privacy and security requirements (PDPA and relevant regulations), including consent flows and sensitive data presentation.
- Connect physical and digital touchpoints into one coherent user experience, including booking, check-in and feedback flows where relevant.
- Contribute to design direction, brand consistency and quality standards across all customer-facing digital surfaces.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in UI/UX or product design for consumer-facing digital products (mobile apps preferred).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work, from research and problem framing to shipped, polished interfaces.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and standard design tooling (wireframing, prototyping, design libraries and handoff workflows).
- Ability to prototype and iterate quickly, including in code (HTML/CSS, basic JavaScript/React, or modern AI-assisted development tools).
- Demonstrated fluency with AI design tools in daily work and experience designing AI-powered features (conversational UI, personalisation or similar).
- Solid grounding in user research methods and usability testing.
- Experience building or contributing to design systems.
- Experience in healthtech, digital health, wellness or an adjacent regulated consumer space is an advantage.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with healthcare data privacy requirements is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; a relevant design certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product, engineering, clinical and executive teams.
