Product Designer

Summary

Designs rider apps, field tools, and warehouse software for a shared e-scooter and e-bike company, using user research and analytics to improve urban mobility products.

YOUR MISSION AT VOI

Voi is making it easier to get around cities without a car. We build shared e-scooters, e-bikes and the software that powers them — from the rider app to the tools our field teams and warehouses use every day.

As a Product Designer, you will join a cross-functional team and own the experience of our products from discovery through to delivery. You will lead projects end-to-end, bringing a clear point of view, collaborating closely with your Product Manager and engineering team, and helping shape products that work for riders and cities alike.

You will take an insight-led approach, connect design decisions to business outcomes and proactively turn opportunities into meaningful improvements.

  • Lead discovery and design for your team’s projects, from problem framing to shipped product.

  • Frame hypotheses, explore a range of solutions and converge on clear, well-reasoned decisions.

  • Plan and conduct user research, using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and evaluate impact.

  • Advocate for a high-quality, accessible and consistent user experience across Voi’s products.

  • Contribute to roadmap planning, strategic discussions, ideation, user testing, implementation and feedback loops.

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to bring solutions to life.

  • Contribute to design team rituals, processes and ways of working that strengthen design maturity across Voi.

  • Explore new methods, analytics, metrics and AI tools, and apply what you learn in practice.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

You are a thoughtful and proactive designer who enjoys working in fast-moving, cross-functional teams. You balance curiosity with clear decision-making, communicate your reasoning confidently and care about creating useful experiences grounded in real user needs.

  • At least three years’ experience in product or UX design within cross-functional teams.

  • Experience leading the design process from discovery and problem definition through to delivery and iteration.

  • Ability to independently plan and run user research, and translate insights into design decisions.

  • Experience using qualitative insights, analytics and product metrics to assess and improve your work.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to a range of stakeholders.

  • A collaborative working style, alongside the confidence to take ownership and work independently.

  • Comfort using AI tools as part of your everyday design and research process.

  • Professional proficiency in English.

It would be great if you also have experience working with hardware or firmware, building and maintaining design systems, or conducting exploratory research beyond usability testing and validation.

Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box.
