About the Role

Owner is hiring experienced product designers at the Senior, Staff, and Principal levels for 2026. These designers will help shape products that make it easier for independent business owners to manage operations, connect with customers, and grow their businesses.

Designers will work at the intersection of product strategy, engineering, and emerging technology, including AI-powered features. The role involves leading design from early exploration through production, contributing to product direction, and building clear, reliable experiences that address real customer needs.

These positions are remote and open to candidates based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Candidates based in San Francisco can also take advantage of optional in-person collaboration at Owner’s Presidio office.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, product, and company leadership to shape product direction and define solutions.
• Lead design work from early exploration and prototyping through implementation and production.
• Create thoughtful, scalable experiences across the customer journey, including AI-powered product features.
• Contribute to and improve design systems, reusable patterns, and overall design quality.
• Promote clarity, simplicity, and usability throughout product development.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, including prototyping ideas in code and submitting pull requests (PRs) when appropriate.
• Translate AI-driven capabilities and emerging technologies into intuitive, trustworthy, and useful customer experiences.
• Balance product strategy, technical possibilities, and real-world business constraints.

Required Qualifications

• At least seven years of product design experience, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong product design and visual design fundamentals, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate directly with engineers and prototype ideas in code, including contributing pull requests.
• Comfort working through ambiguity and making progress in a fast-moving environment.
• Curiosity and confidence in designing with new technologies, including AI.
• Clear communication, strong ownership, and effective collaboration skills.
• Genuine care for users, design craft, and meaningful real-world impact.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated base salary range is $190,000–$270,000, depending on experience and location. Final compensation and level are determined based on experience, impact, and role scope.

Total compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits. The offer also includes a generous pre-IPO equity package.
