Product Engineer (ATE, HTOL)

Experience: 3+ years

This is an integration focused technical position that bridges Product and Test knowledge expertise with Foundry & Reliability technology to ensure that the Product Reliability Qualification execution goes smoothly for mass production launch for key customers. The engineer is required to be able to develop and modify Engineering Test programs and Characterization or Test Search programs. The product engineer is expected to perform test data extraction at every test read points/phase of Reliability Stress (High Temperature Operating Life- HTOL) test, and study & understand the product functional and performance reliability thereof by working closely with Reliability experts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Product Engineer is responsible for:

  • Lead, Plan and Drive Product Reliability Engineering/ HTOL activities from First Silicon to Qualification for mass production.
  • Developing & Executing product characterization and test coverage programs according to test points and search parameters required.
  • To develop an effective automation script that boosts team productivity.
  • Lead and Drive debug of DFT Scan/ ATPG and MBIST/ Arrays test fails from each Test read points/ phase of Reliability Engineering/ HTOL. This includes Root Causing with Device Analysis team, using Scan Diagnostics and MBIST bitmapping.
  • May perform debug of other IP like HBM and HSIO failures when required.
  • Data extraction and perform data analysis of volume test data in relation to Product Reliability study of the product in launch.
  • Perform and support required Product Engineering improvement activities across products as horizontal team functions.

Qualifications:

Years of experience and education:

Candidates will have a B.S. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 3-5 years of applicable experience or M.S. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 2-3 years of directly related experience.

  • Sound problem solving skills.
  • Statistical methods and tools for data analysis
  • Semiconductor process, packaging, and test technologies
  • Semiconductor fabrication process optimization (direct experience in defining and validating a semiconductor device’s performance preferred)
  • DFT features such as ATPG Scan, memory BIST, JTAG, and at-speed testing.
  • Effective communication and the ability to work with geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience with ATE test program development – Advantest 93K, a must.
  • Test program knowledge include test/flow edits, and debug.
  • Analog measurement tool experience (Oscilloscope, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Data analytics (SQL, Python, PowerBI, Shell etc).
