Product Engineer on BAE Systems' Global Engineering Platform Team, maintaining tools for code management, build, deployment and automation across development and operations environments. Job Description\:

As a Product Engineer, you will develop, improve and maintain tools that support code management, build, deployment and automation processes. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams, providing guidance on best practice for build, deployment and configuration management, while proactively supporting infrastructure and application issues. The role also involves ensuring the ongoing support, maintenance and upgrade of technology components to enable reliable and efficient delivery across environments.

Core duties\:

  • Interface with development and operations teams and demonstrate commitment to the success of project deliverables
  • Proactively support issues related to infrastructure and application deployments
  • Provide assurance and guidance on build and deployment best-practices and configuration management to development, test and production environments
  • Be responsible for providing ongoing support, upgrade and maintenance for the technology components

Essential Skills\:

  • Good working knowledge of Linux, Networking and PKI
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian suite
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
