Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Calypso product engineer with strong expertise in treasury and capital markets systems. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Calypso architecture, APIs, and trade lifecycle, along with solid programming skills in Java and database experience in Oracle.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support solutions within the Calypso platform
  • Work closely with front office, middle office, and back office teams to implement business requirements
  • Customize and enhance Calypso modules including Workstation, Pricing Sheets, and workflows
  • Develop and integrate Calypso APIs and REST-based services
  • Handle trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, settlement, accounting, and reporting
  • Work on scheduled tasks, engines, and batch processing
  • Collaborate on real-time integrations using FIX / Kafka
  • Provide support for system enhancements, upgrades, and production issues

Required skills & experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso
  • Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and APIs
  • Solid experience in core Java development
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle database (SQL/PL-SQL)
  • Experience with REST API frameworks and integrations
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle in capital markets
  • Experience with front office modules (Calypso Workstation, Pricing Sheets)

Domain knowledge

  • Strong understanding of equity products
  • Good exposure to treasury products, including:
    • FX / Money Markets (MM)
    • Bonds
    • Repo
    • Interest rate swaps (IRS)
    • Cross currency swaps (CCS)
    • Credit default swaps (CDS)

Additional (good to have)

  • Experience with Calypso Risk / ERS modules
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SA-CCR, FRTB
  • Familiarity with real-time data streaming (Kafka)
