Job Summary
Support the planning, assembly, testing, and maintenance of in-vehicle equipment and prototype tools. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot, develop procedures, and ensure high-quality service delivery with minimal turnaround time.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team leader in planning, assembling, and integrating prototype tools, equipment, and test fixtures to support product development
- Acquire and apply technical knowledge of assembly tools, testing equipment, and integration techniques to improve operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain detailed setup, installation, and configuration procedures for equipment and tools
- Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of in-vehicle equipment to ensure functionality and reliability
- Assist in creating test procedures, work instructions, and process flowcharts to standardize operations
- Support the team lead in diagnosing system issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to job orders to sustain equipment performance
- Escalate major repair issues or parts replacement needs to the team lead with clear recommendations for resolution
- Adhere strictly to company safety, quality, and operational procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Complete and maintain accurate service reports and work orders for all serviced vehicles and equipment to ensure traceability
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Higher Nitec in Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through equipment maintenance and repair
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to document procedures and collaborate with team members
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, C# and Python to support testing and integration tasks is advantageous.
- Experience in hardware troubleshooting, repair, testing, or maintenance to enhance diagnostic capabilities
- Hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, or embedded systems to support complex equipment servicing
- Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Positive learning attitude with willingness to acquire new technical knowledge and skills for continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project and maintenance deadlines
