Product Execution Director

About the role

You will join as ADYRO's senior product-execution owner in China. You will lead factory-side development and execution of core footwear from approved direction through production. You will also own the China-side execution, sourcing and factory follow-through for approved non-footwear, accessory and point-of-purchase projects, working with the relevant category specialists where technical category judgment is needed. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a remote coordination role. You will personally close critical exceptions until the standards, routines and partners are reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain one accurate view of every active footwear style, last, outsole, material, sample round, test, cost change, production issue and next action.
• Turn approved footwear direction into complete technical instructions, sample requests, measurable acceptance criteria and factory follow-up.
• Lead day-to-day work with the Technical Footwear Developer and coordinate factories, suppliers, last makers, mold shops, material partners and relevant technical specialists.
• Drive prototype, sample and production follow-up on site; confirm that comments are understood, implemented and verified in the next physical sample or production evidence.
• Coordinate last, fit, pattern, outsole, tooling, material and construction work so technical choices protect comfort, quality, target cost and timing.
• Own China-side execution, sourcing, quality follow-through and production coordination for approved accessories, non-footwear and point-of-purchase projects, engaging suitable category specialists for product-specific technical decisions.
• Build and maintain practical quality standards, control records and corrective-action routines from development through production.
• Arrange independent external testing and inspection where required, and distinguish their findings from supplier self-checks and ADYRO's internal accountability.
• Investigate development, quality and production failures at the source; document the cause, correction and verification needed to restore the approved standard.
• Prepare decision-ready updates for Leander and the relevant functional leaders, escalating material design, cost, quality or timing exceptions with clear options and evidence.

About you

• At least eight years of footwear product development, technical development, production or quality leadership, with multiple styles taken from brief through bulk production in China.
• Strong working knowledge of lasts, fit, patterns, outsoles, molds, materials, costing, testing, inspection and factory production.
• Evidence that you have personally resolved difficult sample, quality or production issues on site and can explain the commercial result.
• Experience leading technical developers and coordinating factories and suppliers you do not employ.
• Practical execution and sourcing experience across adjacent consumer-product categories is valuable; you know when a category specialist is needed rather than treating every product as footwear.
• A practical, evidence-based approach to quality: clear standards, traceable corrective actions and independent verification where needed.
• Strong Mandarin and clear working English; able to turn international product direction into precise factory action.
• Practical access to Jinjiang and willingness to be present whenever a product decision, sample, inspection or correction requires it.
• Sound judgment about when to drive execution within approved direction and when a material design, cost, quality or timing exception needs leadership input.
