PRODUCT INFORMATION SPECIALIST

Job Summary:
The Product Information Specialist is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all product data across the organization. This role owns product labeling, specifications, and item setup, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and customer requirements. The position works cross-functionally with operations, QA, purchasing, and sales to maintain consistent, audit-ready product information across all systems and production sites.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain working knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations related to product labeling (FSMA, FDA, USDA, etc.)
- Own and manage product labeling across all production facilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain a centralized, up-to-date ledger of all labels used across sites
- Create, update, and maintain product specification documents (ingredients, allergens, nutritionals, pack details, etc.)
- Create and maintain item records in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Manage and maintain product data within GDSN (via Syndigo), ensuring synchronization with trading partners
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) to reflect accurate product structures
- Ensure data consistency across systems (ERP, labeling software, GDSN, spec sheets)
- Support label design and updates using CodeSoft, LabelView, or similar tools
- Audit and validate product and label data to ensure accuracy across all systems and facilities
- Collaborate with QA, production, purchasing, and sales teams to gather and validate product information
- Maintain version control and change management processes for all product and label updates
- Ensure all product data and documentation is organized, accurate, and audit-ready
