WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our team develops innovative B2B service solutions grounded in the strategy of the Inventor Garage, utilizing our Test Course as a core platform for clients to verify their services in the real world.
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Product Manager who acts as a proactive leader driving proposals and alignment. You will bridge the gap between B2B client needs and our Test Course capabilities, determining how to leverage the environment to solve client problems effectively. You must persuade a highly skilled engineering team and stakeholders not just with passion, but with clear logic and verified data.
You will report to the Lead of the Inventor Garage product team. The work style is hybrid.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactive Solution Proposal & Alignment: Move beyond simple "Go/No-Go" judgments. Transform B2B client requests into concrete verification/solution proposals. Think outside the box to craft innovative plans that solve the client's challenges using our Test Course, and actively drive alignment with leadership and stakeholders

Prioritization & Development Direction: Manage the solution roadmap rigorously, deciding what capabilities to build now versus later. Clarify the "Why" behind development items to gain engineering buy-in and ensure a focus on maximizing client value, regardless of the specific development methodology

Solution Definition & Translation: Serve as the primary bridge between business clients and Engineering. Translate complex client "Wants" (e.g., specific test scenarios) into logical "Needs" and scalable technical specifications, ensuring they fit within the broader platform architecture

Engineering Partnership: Work closely with a strong engineering team to negotiate technical trade-offs, defending the necessity of solution components while respecting technical constraints of the Test Course

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional partners (UX, Security, Legal, Business Dev, etc.) to clear blockers and ensure smooth delivery
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience in the technology industry, with 5+ years of direct product management experience defining B2B solutions, platforms, or services
- Proven track record of driving solution development in Agile/Scrum environments, including writing clear technical specifications (PRDs) and managing trade-offs with engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data to make logical "Go/No-Go" prioritization decisions and propose proactive solutions to leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders (including B2B clients) and influence without authority
- Willingness to conduct hands-on solution validation in physical environments (e.g., test courses, real-world sites)
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
NICE TO HAVES
- Technical background (Computer Science degree or experience working as a software engineer)
- Experience developing services that involve physical operations, mobility, or hardware integration (understanding the constraints of the physical world)
- Experience in IT consulting or Solution Architecture (translating client needs into systems)
- Experience working in large-scale projects or matrix organizations
