Product Manager Acquisitions and Propositions (Deposits)
About the Role
Join BOQ Group and play an important role in shaping customer-led deposit propositions and acquisition strategies that deliver sustainable portfolio growth, commercial performance and meaningful customer value.
Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Acquisitions and Propositions (Deposits), you will help translate the Group Deposits strategy into targeted acquisition activity, compelling propositions and initiatives that deliver measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
A key focus of the role is using customer, portfolio and financial insights to identify opportunities, build the commercial case for action and measure outcomes.
You will analyse acquisition and conversion performance, customer behaviour, pricing, margin, competitor activity and market dynamics to identify opportunities across BOQ Group’s Retail Deposits portfolio.
You will contribute to commercial analysis and business cases, campaign development, proposition design, customer targeting, pricing activity and the ongoing optimisation of acquisition journeys. You will monitor performance and use data and insights to recommend where we should invest, optimise or change direction.
You will partner closely with Distribution, Digital, Marketing, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance to deliver initiatives that balance customer needs with growth, commercial, funding and regulatory outcomes.
The role will also support product governance and lifecycle activities, including product reviews, Target Market Determinations, product collateral and regulatory obligations.
Working with autonomy and sound judgement, you will influence stakeholders, navigate competing priorities and maintain momentum across a varied portfolio of initiatives.
About You
You are an experienced product professional with a background in product management, customer acquisition, propositions or portfolio performance within banking or financial services.
Experience across deposits, lending or another retail banking portfolio will position you well for success.
You are commercially minded and highly analytical. You are comfortable working with customer, portfolio and financial data to understand performance, identify opportunities and make evidence-based recommendations.
You understand the commercial drivers of a banking portfolio, including customer behaviour, acquisition and conversion performance, pricing, margin, funding considerations and market dynamics.
Importantly, you can move beyond reporting what the data says to explaining what it means and what action should be taken. You can translate complex analysis into clear recommendations, assess commercial trade-offs and measure whether initiatives are delivering the intended outcomes.
You bring strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across diverse teams, resolve trade-offs and align stakeholders around shared outcomes.
You also have a sound understanding of product governance, Design and Distribution Obligations, Target Market Determinations and the broader regulatory environment.
Naturally curious, organised and solutions-focused, you take ownership of your work and deliver with quality and pace. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, challenging assumptions and identifying practical opportunities to improve customer propositions and deliver sustainable portfolio growth.
A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline would be viewed favourably.
