Product Manager
Summary
Product Manager at Alpha Z in Singapore working with founders, engineers, and researchers to build an AI-powered optimization product: translating user problems into requirements and prototypes, designing workflows that link problem understanding, optimization modeling, and solver execution, and driving delivery. Python and an Operations Research background expected.
What you'll do
- Work with the founders, engineers, and researchers to turn Alpha Z’s capabilities into a practical, usable product.
- Translate user problems into clear requirements, user flows, prototypes, and acceptance criteria.
- Break down product priorities into actionable tasks and drive execution through development, testing and release.
- Design AI-powered workflows connecting problem understanding, optimization modeling, solver execution, and result interpretation, with appropriate user review and validation.
- Build representative test cases with researchers and engineers, gather user feedback, and drive improvements in quality and usability.
What we look for
- A strong background in Operations Research or a related quantitative field, with hands-on experience formulating and solving optimization problems. Academic, research, and industry projects are all relevant.
- Strong execution and attention to detail: able to turn ambiguous ideas into clear tasks and follow through to delivery.
- Experience building or prototyping AI-enabled workflows, with an understanding of tool use, human review, failure handling, and output validation.
- Technical fluency to work closely with engineers, understand APIs and data flows, and use Python for basic analysis or prototyping.
- Clear communication and product judgment, with an ability to make complex technical workflows understandable to users.
- Active use of AI tools for research, prototyping, documentation, or testing, with responsibility for the quality of their outputs.
- Ideally 1–3 years of relevant experience. Recent graduates with strong project experience are welcome; prior product management experience is not required.
