As a Product Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping product strategy, developing and delivering roadmaps, and partnering across ASB to bring customer-focused solutions to life. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and frontline teams to deliver improvements that create value for both customers and the business.
We're hiring for multiple opportunities across two areas:
Cards (2x Permanent)
This role focuses on the ongoing evolution of ASB's cards portfolio. You'll help identify opportunities to improve customer experience, drive growth, strengthen product performance, and ensure our products remain relevant in a rapidly changing environment. You'll partner closely with teams across payments, digital, marketing, retail distribution, and operations to deliver initiatives that make banking simpler and more rewarding for customers.
Short-Term Borrowing (1x Permanent)
This role focuses on lending modernisation across ASB's short-term borrowing products, including credit cards and personal lending. You'll support significant change initiatives, technology transformation, risk and compliance outcomes, and help simplify lending experiences for both customers and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Translate customer, business, and regulatory requirements into clear product solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver product enhancements, change initiatives, and modernisation programmes.
- Use customer insights, market trends, and performance data to identify opportunities and inform decision making.
- Build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group and influence outcomes at all levels of the organisation.
- Support governance, risk, and compliance activities to ensure products continue to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert within your product portfolio.

We're looking for someone who combines curiosity, commercial thinking, and a genuine passion for improving customer outcomes.
You'll ideally bring:
- At least four years' experience in product management, product delivery, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in financial services or another complex, customer-focused environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- The ability to simplify complex problems and turn ideas into practical solutions.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capability.
- An understanding of risk, governance, and regulatory environments.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, with a willingness to challenge thinking and continuously improve.
Experience with lending products, cards, payments, or broader retail banking products would be advantageous.
