Product Manager, Compliance Products Government
Description
Product Manager, Compliance Products
Job Description:
We're hiring a Product Manager to own the roadmap for the trust, security, and compliance capabilities of our agentic AI platform. This is a high-visibility role for someone who has shipped SaaS products inside regulated environments and understands how compliance requirements — for example FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDRP and other privacy frameworks — translate into concrete product requirements, engineering work, and customer trust.
You must have real, hands-on experience delivering product features and roadmaps that satisfy compliance and audit requirements as a normal part of your development lifecycle. You'll work closely with engineering, security, legal, and customer-facing teams in a modern agile/CI-CD environment, translating regulatory and enterprise-customer requirements into a roadmap that keeps us shippable, auditable, and fast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product roadmap for compliance-relevant capabilities of the platform, including identity, access control, audit logging, data residency, and secure deployment models.
- Translate regulatory and framework requirements (FedRAMP, GDPR, IRAP, SOC 2, HIPAA, and others) into clear, actionable product and engineering requirements.
- Partner with security and engineering teams to ensure compliance and security requirements are built into the development pipeline.
- Work with security and infrastructure teams on requirements tied to FIPS 140-3 validated cryptography, TIC (Trusted Internet Connections) requirements, NIST 800-53 and other federal/government security mandates.
- Support audit readiness requirements working with legal, security, and compliance teams to ensure the product can produce the evidence and controls auditors require.
- Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that hold up under both engineering scrutiny and audit scrutiny. Define success metrics for compliance-related features and report progress to leadership and ensure QA plans meet the needs of the regulations.
- Prioritize a roadmap that balances enterprise/regulatory requirements against broader platform velocity and customer needs. Track evolving regulatory and industry requirements and proactively brings changes into the roadmap.
- Partner with sales, customer success, and solutions engineering to support enterprise and government customer needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Product management experience in a SaaS environment, with a track record of owning and shipping product roadmaps.
- Experience with AI/ML products, agentic systems, or platforms with autonomous decision-making components and the trust, safety, and governance requirements.
- Experience developing products that need to comply with regulatory or industry frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC, and HIPAA. Deep expertise in any single framework is not required — what matters is experience embedding compliance requirements into product development as a routine deliverable.
- Experience working in agile development environments with modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience partnering with security, legal, and compliance teams, and comfort operating in environments with formal audit cycles.
- Strong technical fluency — able to have credible, detailed conversations with engineers about architecture, security controls, and infrastructure trade-offs.
- Exceptional written communication skills; comfortable writing PRDs, and executive summaries alike.
- Strong stakeholder management skills — able to align engineering, legal, security, sales, and executive stakeholders around a shared roadmap.
- Comfortable operating with a degree of ambiguity, in a fast-moving, progressive company culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting a FedRAMP ATO (Authority to Operate) process or similar government authorization process.
Experience with other compliance standards such as SOC, HIPAA, and data residency/sovereignty requirements in international markets.
