Product Manager (Customer Products), Information Technology Department
Summary
Product Manager in Ping An Bank's IT department owning customer-facing banking products end to end — customer research, roadmap and prioritisation, process/requirement design, BRD/PRD authoring, and delivery, UAT and post-launch metrics with dev teams. Needs 5+ years of banking/fintech product experience and fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
Job Description
Customer Insight & Product Planning. Conduct market research and customer insight: build customer personas, map customer journeys, and identify genuine pain points across retail banking, wealth management, and corporate banking scenarios; define the product roadmap and iteration plan, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements; prepare business cases and drive prioritisation decisions with data.
End-to-end Business Process Design. Take end-to-end ownership of the customer-facing products under your remit, covering every stage of the customer lifecycle from onboarding, through usage, to exit — defining inputs and outputs, status flows, and exception handling at each step to ensure a seamless and traceable customer journey; perform four-layer design for each step — business process + system interaction + data flow + business logic — ensuring a consistent customer experience across channels and systems.
Requirement Documentation & Bridging Business and Technology. Independently author BRDs, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; act as a two-way translator between business and technology — aligning objectives in business language and decomposing solutions in technical language — and serve as the single point of truth for requirements, managing changes accordingly; visualise requirements with prototyping and diagramming tools (Axure / Figma / Visio, etc.) to eliminate misalignment.
Delivery Management & Post-launch Operations. Work with development, testing, operations, risk, compliance, and operations teams to track the quality of requirement implementation; define and lead UAT and acceptance gates, and coordinate go-live rehearsals and contingency plans; establish event-tracking and monitoring metrics, drive continuous optimisation with data, and own customer-side business outcomes such as product activity, conversion, and NPS.Requirements
