Product Manager (Delivery)
Description
- Get CrossSense to market on time. Lead product delivery to our first customers through the pilot starting in February 2027, then to a wider launch in spring 2027, ensuring access to a live system people living with dementia can rely on
- Run delivery end to end. Coordinate the work of our developers and service designers alongside our research partners. Stay in direct contact with everyone involved so the team shares objectives, a current understanding of the plan and clear accountability.
- Turn objectives into clear requirements. Keep development priorities aligned with our objectives and user stories, distil research findings into user stories, and write feature requirements and acceptance criteria that developers can build from
- Evaluate product releases. Define the required and optional acceptance criteria for each release, with clear pass or fail outcomes, and own the non-negotiable baseline on product safety and error rates. Recommend when to ship based on rigorously assessed release data, and deliver working, demonstrable progress that people outside the product team can rely on
- Maintain the roadmap. Keep the roadmap current as it evolves, and work closely with the developers to estimate features and set timelines the team can commit to, keeping discussions constructive so the team works efficiently towards deadlines. You are the person who knows whether we are on track, and you plan future commitments proactively
- Identify and mitigate risks, and pivot when needed. Translating the roadmap into capabilities is full of rabbit holes, so surface risks early, scope viable alternatives and be ready to steer the team towards them.
- Own how we work. Maintain and improve one written delivery process the whole team can follow, building on existing practice and documented methodology
- Turn feedback into product improvements. Translate partner, carer and user feedback into datasets and evals that shape specifications and launch decisions
- Promote knowledge sharing and listening. Maintain traceability of product decisions. Ensure all perspectives are surfaced, facilitate shared language, and resolve tensions between research validity, user needs and technical constraints in the open
- Clear the team’s path to delivery. Empower the team to move fast and stay aligned with the objectives despite challenges, clearing roadblocks and delays so nothing holds up their work
- Learning budget
- Workplace pension
- Flexible hours
- 30 days annual leave
- Home office support

- Experienced in getting products into the wild: 3+ years shipping software, including 2+ years running the delivery process for a technical team of four to ten people, preferably on an assistive or medical produ
- Adept at aligning people and priorities: you are highly organised, with a proven ability to coordinate across developers, researchers, designers and external partners
- Clear, direct communicator: the teams you lead always know what is needed, by when and why. You pursue ambitious goals with care for the people involved, and you motivate teams to commit to deadlines
- Confident finisher: you know when a product is good enough to release, and you give the team the confidence to ship, building a habit of regular releases against time-bound milestones.
- Data-driven and human-centred product delivery: comfortable incorporating research findings and committed to putting user needs first in product decisions. You apply what you learn back into the development process.
- Comfort in graph-based information systems: experienced with Anytype, Notion or similar. You have structured and maintained a shared workspace, keeping tasks, owners, deadlines, risks and decisions linked, current, and useful to the whole team
- Coding literacy (Python, Kotlin, TypeScript or similar): you can confidently review code changes and triage bugs. You may have written production code, but in this role you are happy to leave that to the developers.
- Exercising taste: early adopter of AI tools who tests emerging products and frameworks, and forms evidence-based opinions about what good looks like.
- Action-oriented and persistent: you get up to speed quickly, chase loose ends without being asked, and take pride in getting tasks crossed off the list
- At home in a startup: you can make progress without everything being defined, and when something unclear is critical to the work, you are confident asking the questions needed to resolve it, for yourself and for others
