Join the team bringing advanced autonomy to the built world

At Bedrock, we’re moving AI out of the lab and into the real world. Our team is composed of industry veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. Today, we’re deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction machinery across the country, accelerating project schedules of billion-dollar infrastructure projects and improving safety on job sites. Backed by $350M in funding, we’re working quickly to close the gap between America's surging demand for housing, data centers, manufacturing hubs, and the construction industry's growing labor shortage.

This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. You’ll collaborate with construction veterans and world-class engineers to solve physical-world problems that simulations can’t touch. If you're ready to apply cutting-edge technology to solve meaningful problems alongside a talented team—we'd love to have you join us.

We are seeking a highly design-oriented Product Manager who thrives in the field, spending significant time in excavator cabs and on active construction sites to understand workflows and solve real-world problems firsthand. You'll leverage modern AI-assisted tools to rapidly prototype and validate solutions with operators, partnering closely with product design and engineering to deliver polished systems that perform in unpredictable, high-stakes environments.

What you’ll do

  • Spend significant time on active job sites, riding with operators, observing crews, and understanding how autonomous excavation fits into the broader earthmoving operation.

  • Own Voice-of-Customer for supervisors, operators, and field teams. Develop a clear understanding of how work actually gets done, and use those insights to influence the product roadmap grounded in field reality.

  • Design the workflows and interfaces that allow people to supervise, understand, and manage autonomous excavators safely and productively, whether operating a single machine or an entire fleet.

  • Drive rapid cycles of observation, prototyping, and validation using modern AI-assisted development tools.

  • Ensure every product works under real construction-site conditions, including dust, vibration, intermittent connectivity, and harsh lighting.

  • Help define the next generation of human-machine interaction for autonomous equipment.

What you’ll bring

  • A track record of learning directly from users and changing what gets built as a result.

  • Excellent interaction design and information architecture fundamentals. You have a portfolio of products you can point to that show how digital helps solve real world problems.

  • Strong problem-framing skills and the ability to distinguish symptoms from root causes, translating field observations into product strategy and roadmap direction.

  • A builder's mindset. You're comfortable creating prototypes and working solutions, not just specifications.

  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate design, prototyping, and product development.

  • Genuine interest in industrial systems, construction, robotics, autonomy, or field operations.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to align engineering, design, and operations around a shared understanding of a problem.

  • Comfort operating independently in ambiguous environments.

  • Comfortable owning execution end-to-end while partnering with product leadership on strategy and priorities.

Nice to have

  • Experience in construction technology, robotics, autonomy, industrial software, aviation, defense, manufacturing, or other operational domains.

  • Background in field research, ethnography, human factors, or service design.

  • A reputation for being the person who can walk into a messy situation, figure out what's actually happening, and explain it clearly.

Our roles are often flexible. If you don't fit all the criteria, or are in another location (especially one where we have an office like SF or NY) please apply anyway! We'd love to consider you.
