This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager II based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in controlled substance data and reporting within a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.
You will own product initiatives from discovery and prioritization through delivery and customer adoption.
Working closely with customers, engineering, analytics, and business teams, you will translate complex needs into scalable product solutions.
The role combines product management, data analysis, regulatory awareness, and customer engagement.
You will use SQL, Tableau, and AI-supported tools to uncover insights, validate assumptions, and influence product strategy.
Your work will directly support healthcare organizations, pharmacies, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for controlled substance products, datasets, reporting capabilities, customer workflows, and the relevant regulatory landscape.
  • Use SQL, Tableau, and other analytical tools to investigate complex data questions, identify customer needs, validate assumptions, and inform product decisions.
  • Own discovery, prioritization, definition, and delivery of reporting and data product initiatives from problem identification through customer adoption.
  • Help shape product strategy across reporting, analytics, data governance, metadata, and AI-enabled capabilities, balancing customer value, scalability, and business growth.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to manage expectations, clarify scope, communicate tradeoffs, and distinguish defects, MVP gaps, enhancements, and requests that are not technically feasible or strategically aligned.
  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and other cross-functional teams to improve data governance, reduce customer friction, and develop scalable solutions.
  • Define AI-enabled analytics use cases, data requirements, governance considerations, and success metrics.
  • Translate customer feedback, market needs, business requirements, and analytical insights into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Support user acceptance testing and validate that delivered solutions meet customer and business expectations.
  • Evaluate competing regulatory, technical, customer, support, and revenue priorities to recommend roadmap tradeoffs and maintain delivery focus.
  • Maintain high-quality product documentation, including user guides, workflows, data definitions, and supporting materials.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while progressively establishing deep expertise in a complex and highly regulated domain.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in product management, product analytics, data analysis, or a related field, with increasing responsibility and ownership.
    • Advanced SQL proficiency, including the ability to independently query and analyze large, complex datasets.
    • Strong Tableau skills, including dashboard development, data visualization, and analytical storytelling.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs and data insights into product recommendations, requirements, and technical solutions.
    • Experience working in highly regulated environments such as healthcare, government, insurance, or financial services.
    • Experience with healthcare, pharmacy, public health, claims, controlled substance, or comparable complex datasets is strongly valued.
    • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data quality programs, reporting standards, or enterprise analytics initiatives.
    • Familiarity with Agile product development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
    • Experience supporting product discovery, roadmap planning, product delivery, or customer-facing product initiatives.
    • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, healthcare regulations, or state government technology programs is beneficial.
    • Experience using Python or other analytical tools is a plus.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills, with the ability to develop creative and practical solutions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to rapidly master complex subject matter and establish credibility with customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Active and effective use of AI-supported tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar technologies to accelerate research, analysis, drafting, documentation, and product execution.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment while taking ownership and working independently.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment with strong virtual communication and minimal distractions.
    • Willingness and ability to travel periodically for work.
