Product Manager

This is a high-impact product leadership opportunity at the intersection of artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, and payer operations. The role will own the AI product strategy for a core healthcare administration platform and shape how intelligent capabilities are embedded across critical payer workflows. You will identify high-value use cases, define a prioritized roadmap, and translate complex AI opportunities into measurable customer outcomes. Working closely with product, engineering, data science, UX, architecture, sales, and marketing teams, you will drive initiatives from strategy through commercialization. The position also carries significant responsibility for responsible AI, regulatory compliance, and governance in a highly regulated industry. Accountabilities
- Define and maintain the comprehensive AI product strategy for the core healthcare administration platform, aligning it with broader business objectives and market direction.
- Build and prioritize the AI roadmap across claims, member management, enrollment, benefit configuration, and contract management value streams.
- Identify high-value AI opportunities through customer discovery, market analysis, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Establish KPIs and success metrics covering AI adoption, operational improvements, and customer outcomes.
- Translate AI strategy into clear product requirements, epics, roadmap themes, and priorities for engineering execution.
- Serve as the primary product partner to AI platform and engineering leadership across AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with value-stream Product Managers to embed AI capabilities into their respective roadmaps and product strategies.
- Partner with UX, engineering, data science, and architecture teams to ensure AI solutions meet usability, compliance, performance, and operational requirements.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams for AI launches and release readiness.
- Develop AI product positioning, messaging, narratives, and collateral in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
- Support customer-facing AI demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, pilot programs, conferences, advisory boards, and analyst briefings.
- Establish responsible AI guardrails for healthcare payer workflows while preserving the integrity of deterministic adjudication processes.
- Monitor evolving AI regulations and healthcare requirements, including CMS guidelines, HIPAA, and emerging AI governance standards.
- Ensure AI capabilities maintain an appropriate distinction between AI-assisted operational tools and core adjudication functionality.
- Present AI strategy, product capabilities, business cases, and progress to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Assess existing AI capabilities, establish strategic relationships, and deliver an initial AI strategy and roadmap framework during the first 90 days.
- Drive roadmap integration, launch readiness, and commercialization efforts, with the goal of delivering multiple AI capabilities and measurable customer adoption within the first year.
- 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years within healthcare payer administration technology or a closely related domain.
- Demonstrated experience defining and delivering AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation products within enterprise software environments.
- Deep understanding of healthcare payer operations, including claims adjudication, member management, benefit configuration, enrollment, and/or contract management.
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer and business value.
- Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and align roadmaps across product, engineering, data, and go-to-market teams.
- Experience developing product strategy documents, business cases, roadmaps, and executive-level presentations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to translate real-world healthcare workflows into practical product opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with core administrative processing systems is preferred.
- Experience with LLM-based products, agentic AI workflows, or AI product operations is preferred.
- Experience applying clinical or operational AI within managed care, healthcare payer, or payer BPaaS environments is a plus.
- Experience in a product-led SaaS organization focused on AI feature commercialization is preferred.
- MBA or another advanced degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, regulatory requirements, and governance considerations within healthcare.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Annual US base salary range of $132,000–$141,000, with final compensation based on skills, experience, qualifications, education, and other relevant factors.
