Description

Job Overview

The Automotive Business Unit of TE Connectivity is seeking a Product Manager (m/f/d) to drive the strategy, innovation roadmap, and business performance of the High Voltage Interconnection (HVIC) portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for selected HVIC product lines within the EMIA region. You will define the strategic direction, develop growth initiatives, and lead their execution within a matrix organization involving Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product Management teams.

This position requires strong strategic thinking, a deep understanding of customer and market needs, and solid commercial acumen to further develop the portfolio through new product introductions, successful go-to-market strategies, and expansion into adjacent application areas. You will own the entire product lifecycle and be directly accountable for revenue growth, margin expansion, portfolio competitiveness, and operational performance.

You will excel through your ability to mobilize cross-functional teams, ensure global alignment, and drive data-driven, customer-focused decision-making. As a result, you will play a highly visible and strategically important role within TE Automotive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Strategy: Drive the strategic development of a segment of the HVIC product portfolio based on in-depth market, technology, and competitive analyses, with a focus on revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Product Strategy & Go-to-Market: Define and execute product roadmaps and lead successful product launches in close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations for your area of responsibility.
  • P&L Ownership: Manage revenue growth, margin improvement, and profitability for the assigned product lines within the EMIA region, including the implementation of competitive pricing and margin strategies.
  • Growth Above Market: Achieve above-market growth through new customer acquisition and increased market share within target segments.
  • Business Ownership: Monitor business performance against annual and long-term plans, manage risks, and create competitive advantages through product differentiation, operational excellence, and strategic cost management.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the automotive industry, ideally in strategic product management within the high-voltage (HV) sector.
  • Broad technical product and system knowledge in automotive connectivity, particularly in HV connectors, HV cable assemblies, and related technologies.
  • Proven experience in developing portfolio strategies and product roadmaps, as well as successfully launching new products.
  • Strong business acumen with hands-on experience in business case development, profitability management, and P&L ownership.
  • Experience leading and influencing international, cross-functional teams within matrix organizations without direct reporting responsibility.
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 25%.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
